Becki and Guy Daniels are the owners of Expressions Ink. The studio was founded in 1995, by Scooter and Bobbi Stouffer. It was one of Wausau’s’ first licensed tattoo parlors. At the time there were only 2 other tattooists in the area.

As the years passed Expressions Ink continued to grow. What started out as a 2 room studio eventually grew into an entire building. The early years were lean. Sometimes a week would pass with nobody even walking in the doors. The building itself was run down and neglected. Owner after owner purchased it to only leave it looking rough. The inside was completely remodeled. Over a period of time, and after paying its dues, a strong customer base was built. Not only did the studio grow but it also took an interst in teaching others the art. Scooter always believed that the creams rises to the top, and it was no different with apprentices. Some could meet the challenge and others would choose other careers.

In 2006 Expressions decided to move the studio downtown. They were tired of landlords who promised building improvements, only to later neglect them again. When any business relocates it suffers. Expressions Ink knew that it had to step up to the plate and meet the new challenge. Scooter, who had been planning on retiring, decided to stick around a bit longer and help the new studio get off the ground. He knew the shop would succeed. His partner Guy Daniels knew the business and his ink spoke on its own merit.

The move proved to be the right decision! It did not take long for their customers to learn where the new studio was. Everybody knew where Burger King was downtown so it was easy to find. The new studio improved the image of Expressions right off the bat. They were no longer making costly repairs to a building that they did not even own. The reason Scooter had moved into it, to begin with, was because of all the promises made to have improvements made. When the studio moved a lot of head-aches also disappeared. Guy and he had the new shop up and running in 2 weeks.

This is where the Studio has been for the last few years. The studio continues to be one of central Wisconsin’s premiere professional tattooing establishments. Stop in and visit to see for yourselves! Their standards for cleanliness, sterilization, and customer service still hold as true as they were when the doors first opened. The shop never really went through a lot of adjustments when Scooter retired. Guy had been part of the success that the studio had achieved from the early days on. When he and Becki took over they improved the studio with their own visions.
